Watch now (4 mins) | That sounds funny, right? That I want you to hear my voice? But tone of voice and ways of talking are so much part of how we provide support for other people. Knowing that there is a person behind the writing, behind the gifts, behind the silence. For a long time in our hospital, we wore masks in all our interactions. Sometimes, for just a second, I’d remove my mask and put it back on, saying, “When we’re talking about life and death and loss, it helps to see a face, even if just for a second.”
Great job at looking at the camera so you look like you’re actually making eye contact. I’ve read your work for several years and it is an additional dimension to hear you talk. Thanks for all your work. You give me a window into a dimension that no one else I read gives. The Lord continue to bless your work and family.
004 - A short video to let you hear my voice.
