Welcome back! (Or welcome!) In August, we visited friends in another state. On the last day of our visit, their 13-year-old daughter had scheduled her own birthday party. All her siblings were present, her aunt and cousin, her grands, us. But it wasn’t her birthday.
Thank you Jon for that incredible insight.... I will definitely try the things you mentioned.... be grateful for what we have... even though it may not be “perfect” because truly nothing is.
May you and your loved ones have a beautiful Thanksgiving
When I encounter people who look at everything in a negative light, I encourage them to take a piece of paper, fold it I. Half, then spread it back flat and put “Good things “ on the other half put “Bad Thing”, then under each start making a list of items that you recall.
Almost, without exception the “Good Things” far far outnumber the “Bad Things”.
It is such a simple way to regain a positive perspective.
Wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving “
